SISO Spring 2008 SIW Paper: "The Jagged Joystick"
The Spring 2008 Simulation Interoperability Workshop (SIW), sponsored by the Simulation Interoperability Standards Organization (SISO), was held in Providence, RI April 14-18, 2008. Secure Decisions researchers presented "The Jagged Joystick: Game Technology for Net-Centric Training Simulations," which discussed challenges and opportunities related to the use of game technology for training entry level cyber defense.
The paper, authored by Mark Underwood, Dan Tesone, Anita D'Amico and
Ken Doris, discusses research conducted as part of a Phase 1 SBIR
cyberdefense training project called SimBLEND. The full paper will be
available at the SISO site later in 2008. The paper is also
available here.
SimBLEND is sponsored by the Air Force Research Laboratory's Warfighter Readiness Research Division (AFRL/HEA), based in Mesa, AZ. In 2008, Secure Decisions was awarded a Phase 2 SBIR contract to continue work on SimBLEND.
